Paulwell heartbroken by abduction and murder of daughter and her mother
Member of Parliament Phillip Paulwell says he is heart broken by the recent abduction and murder of his 10 month old daughter Sarayah and her mother 27 year old Toshyna Patterson.
The baby and mother were reported missing on September 9.
In a tragic revelation on Friday, it was confirmed by the police that Sarayah and Toshyna were abducted and murdered.
Leoda Bradshaw and three men were charged in relation to the incident.
In a statement on his Facebook page Mr Paulwell said the past few weeks have been extremely difficult for him, as he grappled with the abduction of his daughter and her mother.
He said he prayed unceasingly for the safe return of Ms Patterson and his daughter Sarayah noting that he is heartbroken that the worst has happened.
Mr Paulwell said nothing could have prepared him for the events that unfolded since last week Thursday and the alleged discoveries.
He said, murdering a mother and an innocent baby is unimaginable and his heart is heavy with sadness.
He said he is praying for Toshyna’s family who he said is experiencing the unbearable grief and pain of losing their beloved daughter and grandaughter.
Mr Paulwell said, as a human being, father, lawyer and legislator, he is hoping that all who were involved are brought to justice and punished to the fullest extent of the law.
He said he has been in constant dialogue with the police and cooperated fully with the investigation.
While stating that he cannot comment on the investigations nor matters before the court, he thanked the police for their tireless work.
He also thanked the many Jamaicans who have been generous in their prayers and support.
