Case file for BB Coke student accused of beating schoolmate moved from Santa Cruz Court to Black River Court
The case file for the Grade 11 BB Coke High student, who is accused of beating a younger schoolmate at the institution last Thursday has been moved from the Santa Cruz Court to the Black River Court in St. Elizabeth.
The family and attorney of the accused were gathered at the Santa Cruz courthouse this morning.
The teen was charged at the weekend with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and is to face the court today (October 2).
The Grade 11 student’s attorney, Hopeton Marshall explained why the case has been moved.
Meantime, the injured student remains in hospital.
