Woman charged for trying to smuggle ganja into Black River Police Station
A St. Elizabeth woman is to face the court on Wednesday (October 4) after she was allegedly caught trying to smuggle ganja into the Black River Police Station on Saturday (September 30).
30-year-old Shareen Barrett, a farmer of Mountainside, St. Elizabeth is charged with possession and dealing in ganja.
Reports are that Barrett went to the police station to visit a prisoner, carrying several bags of chips and other food items.
Checks were made and eighty-one sticks of ganja were found disguised in the products.
She was taken into custody and charged.
