Reggae Boys climbs to 56 on FIFA rankings
Jamaica’s Reggae boyz have climbed two places to 56 on the latest release of the Fifa Coca Cola World Rankings.
It follows them beating Honduras one-nil and playing to a 2-all with Haiti to secure 4 points to top the group ‘B’ standings in League ‘A’ of the Concacaf nations League.
The move sees the reggae boyz remaining the highest placed Caribbean team on the FIGA rankings and number 5 in Concacaf overall behind United States 11, Mexico 12, Canada 44 and Costa Rica 46.
Reigning world champions Argentina, in the meantime, continues to occupy top spot ahead of beaten finalists France ….with Brazil, England and Belgium completing the top 5 places.
The rest of the top 10 includes Croatia, Netherlands, Portugal, Italy and spain.
World cup semi-finalists Morocco are the highest ranked African team at number 13.
The next edition of the Fifa/Coca Cola world ranking will be published on October 26.
