Jamaica Tallwahs still on course for a place in the CPL final

The Jamaica Tallawahs having gotten a lifeline in the Caribbean Premier League will seek to continue further progress when they face the St. Lucia Kings in the opening eliminator this evening at the Guyana National Stadium in Providence.

The Tallawahs earned their continued participation through  a massive 122 run win over the St  Lucia  Kings in their final match in the league phase while the Barbados Royals with former Tallawahs captain Rovman Powell went down by 88 runs to the Guyana Amazon Warriors on Sunday.

Those results ensured the Tallawahs who kept their hopes alive the previous day with a 59 run win over the St Kitts  and  Nevis  Patriots secured the fourth and final spot for the eliminators

Meanwhile the Amazon Warriors who finished atop the standings will lock horns with second place Trinbago Knight Riders in the qualifier 1 on Wednesday.

The winner of that eliminator will advance directly into the final, while the loser of the qualifier between the Tallawahs and the St Lucia Kings will battle it out in a 2nd qualifier on Friday for the right to advance to the grand final on Sunday.
