Three men shot and killed in separate incidents
Three men were shot and killed in separate incidents across the island yesterday (September 9).
In the latest incident, 27-year-old Dane Watson of Hermitage, St. Ann was shot and killed by unknown assailants in Lydford District in the parish.
Reports from the St. Ann’s bay police are that about 9:45 p.m., Watson was driving a Toyota Crown motorcar along the roadway, when it reportedly developed mechanical challenges.
He stopped to make checks when he was allegedly approached by an unknown vehicle.
The occupants reportedly opened gunfire hitting him multiple times.
He was pronounced dead at hospital.
About an hour earlier in another incident, 39-year-old Kalifah Reddick otherwise called ‘Worla’, a fisherman of Commission Road in Rockfort, Kingston 2 was shot and killed by unknown assailants on D’Anguilar road in the parish.
Reports from the Elletson Road police are that about 8:50 P.M., Reddick was walking along the roadway, when he was attacked by armed men.
Reddick reportedly ran, however he was chased and shot multiple times.
The police were summoned and he was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
And in the other incident, 33-year-old Damion Clarke otherwise called ‘Theo’, a pilot and taxi operator was shot and killed by unknown assailants at his home on Trovers Circle in Cumberland, St. Catherine
Reports from the Portmore police are that about 8:45 p.m., Clarke had just arrived home when he was pounced upon by armed men.
The men opened gunfire at him, hitting him in the head.
He was pronounced dead at hospital.
Investigations are ongoing into all three murders.
