Education Minister Fayval Williams says Gov’t doing what it can to retain the nation’s teachers
Education Minister Fayval Williams says the Government is doing what it can to retain the nation’s teachers.
Mrs. Williams was responding to reporters at the Mountain View Primary and Infant School in St Andrew this morning (September 4).
Several school administrations are seeking to fill vacancies as teachers resign from their posts, for various reasons, including to seek better wages overseas.
Many of the educators left the classrooms without the required notice.
Despite these developments, Minister Williams maintained that the Government is doing what it can, especially with its budget.
She said the Government is ensuring it has a robust system to train new teachers.
