Jamaica High School Alumni Soccer and Netball Tournament in Florida is back
Following a three absence the Jamaica High School Alumni Soccer tournament makes its official return to the American sporting calendar at the Lauderhill Sports Complex in Florida on September 4.
The one day tournament which features defending champions Calabar returning to defend their title, will also see Kingston College, Tivoli Gardens, Bridgeport, Steths, Herbert Morrison, Ferncourt, Ocho Rios and Old Harbour High all in action.
The teams will be vying for the National Weekly Cup along with cash prizes.
Speaking with Irie Fm Sports, the founder and organizer Lavern Deer is bubbling with joy that the tournament is back, “ I am excited and the entire set of participating teams are overjoyed and buzzing with excitement ahead of the tournament, which will be a day of : Sports , Music, Food and a whole lot more, even though it will be one day this year, it will be fun filled day of activities for the entire family” .
Meanwhile the event which falls on the US Labour Day Holiday will also feature the return of Netball competition.
The teams in action in Netball include Alpha, Mona High, Denbigh, Vere Technical ,Excelsior, Mavis Bank and Victor Dixon.
