Third World, Tanto Metro and Devonte miss out on BeReggae Music Festival due to heavy rains

World renowned Reggae Band Third World and international Dancehall duo Tanto Metro and Devonte did not get to perform at the BeReggae Music and Arts Festival over the weekend, after the organizers were forced to pull the plug due to the inclement weather.

The three-day event got off to a great start on Friday in Atlanta, but heavy rains caused the organizers to postpone their 10th anniversary celebration on Saturday before Tanto Metro and Devonte could hit the stage.

In a press release sent to Music News, organizers of the Be Reggae Music and Arts Festival said, “For the first time ever, and due to the tremendous safety hazards of falling and/or fallen trees present, as well as a completely waterlogged Piedmont Park after Saturday’s severe thunderstorms, we are forced to postpone the remaining day of the BeREGGAE Music and Arts Festival and the Boom Bap Atlanta Hip Hop 50 Celebration. Please stay tuned for the updates in the next few days.”

The organizers also thanked fans for their support and are expected to refund for all VIP, tent packages, Cabana holders, and Boom Bap Atlanta ticket holders.

Third World was slated to perform on Sunday.

Established in 2013, Atlanta Reggae in the Park started as a block-party style gathering to celebrate authentic afro Caribbean culture, and in 10-years has evolved into the BeREGGAE Music & Arts Festival.
