The government has approved an additional staff complement for the University of Technology (UTECH).

Cabinet considered and approved the expanded staff structure consisting of 832 additional posts that were identified in the post audit conducted by the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service.

The update was given by Education Minister Fayval Williams in parliament, yesterday (July 26).

She noted that cabinet has also approved the current operational pay plan that is being utilized by UTECH, consequent on its increased responsibilities and programme offerings.
