At least one dead in fiery Trelawny crash
At least one person was killed in a fiery crash along the Hague Main Road, in Trelawny, on Monday.
The identity of the deceased, who was burnt beyond recognition, has not yet been released.
The Trelawny Police, in confirming the incident, told Irie Fm News, that the crash which occurred shortly after noon, involved a tractor-trailer and a Honda motor car.
It is understood, that both vehicles collided, causing the motor car to burst into flames.
Images circulating on social media, show the car in a mangled state.
Yesterday’s accident, pushes the number of people killed on the nation’s roadways, since the start of the year, to 224.
In light of the growing number of road deaths, the road safety unit, is urging persons, not to speed.
Vice Chairman of the National Road Safety Council, Dr. Lucien Jones is also reminding road users to wear the necessary safety gear.
