The government says it was not involved in the planning of the funeral for 8-year-old Danielle Rowe.

The statement follows claims by some relatives that they stormed out of the service because their names were removed from the programme to accommodate government officials.

According to the Education Ministry portfolio Minister Fayval Williams attended the funeral and was requested by the pastor to make a statement, which she did.

The ministry said no other person from the government was engaged in the funeral.
