JCF trainee suspected to have drowned at Tranquility Bay Training Academy in St Elizabeth this morning
A Jamaica Constabulary Force trainee is suspected to have drowned at the police’s Tranquility Bay Training Academy in St Elizabeth this morning (July 17).
The identity of the deceased has not been released.
While the circumstances surrounding the incident have not been ascertained, IRIE FM news understands that the trainee was swimming when he got into difficulties.
This morning’s incident follows the drowning of Jamaica Defence Force trainee, Private Jerome McCatty at the National Stadium pool, two months ago.
Private McCatty became unresponsive during training and was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
