St Catherine South Police: Gov’t should quickly implement updated version of school safety and security policy
Head of the St Catherine South Police, Senior Superintendent (SSP) Christopher Phillips has recommended that the Ministries of Education and National Security move quickly to implement an updated version of the school safety and security policy.
This followed the murder of 8-year-old Danielle Rowe who was abducted from the Braeton Primary and Infant School in St Catherine.
SSP Phillips who was speaking at a special devotion at Danielle’s school this morning (June 12) said it is important to have a safety policy which speaks to the modern reality, and creates the standard procedures for school safety and security.
He assured that the Constabulary is fully equipped to handle situations similar to that of Danielle’s murder while reaffirming the commitment to bring her killers to justice.
