8-year-old who was abducted and found with her throat slashed has died
The grade two female student who was abducted from school and found with her throat slashed has died.
The Constabulary’s Communications Unit confirmed her passing this morning.
The 8-year-old child had been hospitalized in critical condition after undergoing emergency surgery.
On Thursday, it was reported that the child was abducted from the Braeton Primary and Infant School in St Catherine.
She was found by a soldier in Swallowfield, Kingston with her throat slashed and later admitted to the Bustamante Hospital for Children.
The Education Ministry is to determine if there were breaches of established protocols, regarding the safety and security of students at the St Catherine-based school.
