The person believed to be at the centre of yesterday’s bomb threat at a gas station in Ocho Rios, St. Ann, has been taken into custody.

He was taken into custody in Old Harbour, St. Catherine, today (June 5).

The police had appealed to him to turn himself in to the nearest police station.

Head of the police Corporate Communications Unit, Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay says investigators reviewing the case are to determine what charges can be laid in the matter.

An individual, who released a video on social media and claimed responsibility for the bomb threat, said it was a prank.

SSP Lindsay stresses that this was not a funny incident.
