St Andrew labourer who reportedly killed his father during dispute over empty bottles, convicted of manslaughter
A St Andrew labourer accused of killing his father in a dispute over empty bottles three years ago has been convicted of manslaughter.
Dennis Brown Jr appeared in the Home Circuit Court yesterday (May 24), when he was found guilty by the jury at the end of the trial.
Brown Jr will be sentenced on July 7.
Reports are that in April 2020, Dennis Brown Sr accused his son of stealing some empty bottles.
A dispute developed between the two and the father was stabbed by the son at home, in Oddman Lane, St Andrew.
Brown Sr was taken to hospital where he later died.
