Gov’t to implement oral health programme that will benefit 10,000 Jamaicans
Ten thousand Jamaicans are to benefit from the Health Ministry’s oral health and dentures replacement programme dubbed ‘Second Chance Smiles’.
Portfolio Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton made the announcement during his sectoral debate presentation this afternoon (May 3).
He said $60 million will be spent on the programme, over a 2-year period.
Dr. Tufton added that the Ministry will be exploring additional measures that can be implemented as an alternative to extractions.
