One of seven people shot and wounded after a public passenger bus was fired on by armed men on Friday (April 21) has died.
40-year-old Marsha Saunders of Windsor Heights, Central Village St Catherine died last night. She was shot in the head.
Her 7-year-old son who was wounded in the incident along Spanish Town Road remains hospitalized.
Ms Saunders’ death has plunged the Windsor Heights community into mourning.
A family friend said Saunders will be missed greatly, as she was a hardworking individual with a great personality.
He said the wounding of Saunders’ son, and her untimely passing have left the community traumatized.
Meantime, police said Monday that two men were taken into custody in connection with Friday’s incident.
Reports were that at around 2:24 pm, there was a dispute between men at a bus stop which escalated and shots were fired at the bus.
