Fifty-one-year-old mechanic, Robert Fowler of Portmore, St Catherine today (March 8) pleaded guilty to the murder of 20-year-old accounting clerk, Khanice Jackson.

Fowler pleaded guilty in the Home Circuit Court and will be sentenced on April 27.

Jackson of Independence City, Portmore was strangled on March 24, 2021.

Her body was found in a decomposing state, in an open lot near the Portmore Fishing Village on March 26, 2021.

Fowler, who regularly gave Jackson a lift to work, had lured her to his home under the pretext that he had left one of his tools there.

While at Fowler’s house, an argument developed between them and Fowler allegedly used a piece of rope to strangle Jackson.

He then disposed of her body.

Investigations by the police led to the recovery of the deceased’s handbag and bank cards at Fowler’s house.
