Court hands down first guilty verdict in Clansman gang trial
The first guilty verdict for a man alleged to be a member of the Clansman gang was handed down today (March 1) by the Home Circuit Court.
Chief Justice Bryan Sykes found Roel Taylor guilty of illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
Taylor, who claims to be a furniture maker, is the cousin of alleged gang leader Andre ‘Blackman’ Bryan.
The convictions stemmed from a gun which was reportedly found at Taylor’s furniture shop in June 2019.
Over 20 other alleged gang members remain on trial.
