Preparations are in high gear for the IRIE FM Music Awards. 

On Thursday, the ballots for the IRIE FM Music Awards were counted, by the auditing firm, HLB Mair Russell, and are currently under lock and key.

No one knows who the winners are, except the person assigned to the awards.

Meanwhile, Dancehall entertainer Valiant tops the list with eight nominations while Popcaan holds firm with 5 nominations.

Spice and Shenseea are up for 4 awards while Dexta Daps, Shaneil Muir, Stalk Ashley, Moyann, and Skeng have three nominations each. Other nominees include Ding Dong, Koffee, Masicka, D’Angel, Alkaline, Burna Boy, Jada Kingdom, Shaggy, and Sean Paul among others.

There are 25 Categories up for grabs these include the IRIE FM Humanitarian Award, Reggae Ambassador Award, Male and Female DJ of the year, Male and Female Singer of the year, Gospel Artiste of the Year, Social Media Influencer of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Collaboration of the Year.

The IRIE FM Music Awards slated to take place on March 1, is a Radio Program awarding the best and most popular elements of our music and culture during the past year (2022).
