Dancehall Queen Carlene stages fundraiser for sister with cancer
Ahead of her charity concert to raise funds for her sister who’s battling cancer, Dancehall Queen Carlene is urging people to get regular check-ups because early detection can save lives.
To show support for her sister who is undergoing chemotherapy, in April last of year, Jamaica’s first Dancehall Queen cut off all her hair and went bald.
She tells Music News that proceeds from the fundraiser slated to take place tomorrow (Feb 7) are to assist with treatment for her sister Pinky who is battling stage four cancer.
Entertainer Sizzla Kalonji and Stone Love are among the industry players lending their support to the cause.
Last year, Dancehall Queen Carlene lost her nephew Jo Mersa Marley, the son of her younger sister Kerry-Ann Smith and firstborn of Stephen Marley.
