Prime Minister Holness breaks silence on fraud case at SSL
Prime Minister Andrew Holness has echoed comments made by the Finance Minister about transparency, accountability and the need for patience, as investigations continue into the fraud case at Stocks and Securities Limited, SSL.
Mr. Holness’ statement comes in the wake of calls for the government to reassure investors about the safety of the money at financial institutions.
Investor confidence, both locally and internationally, has fallen following reports that among those affected by the multi-million dollar fraud at SSL, is athlete Usain Bolt.
Mr Holness said he was briefed on the matter this morning (January 20).
The Prime Minister warned citizens against unconfirmed information about the case.
