Police now more adept in dealing with domestic abuse cases involving male victims
Commissioner of Police Major General Antony Anderson says the nation’s police have become more adept at dealing with domestic violence cases where males are the victims.
This as he notes some 28 percent of domestic violence victims in the past year were males.
The commissioner made the observation while speaking at a national security seminar, yesterday.
He said there have been increases in cases of domestic violence in recent years.
The commissioner noted last year saw a 67 percent increase in cases of domestic violence, of which men accounted for more than a quarter.
