Report on relationship between CPFSA and American Carl Robanske forwarded to police
The report from the Office of the Children’s Advocate on the questionable relationship between the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA) and founder and CEO of Embracing Orphans, Carl Robanske has been forwarded to the police for further investigations.
The report followed public revelations in march 2021 that Mr Robanske, had his teaching licence suspended in Washington, United States due to inappropriate conduct with a minor.
Embracing Orphans had a longstanding relationship with the CPFSA, to provide transitional facilities for young girls preparing to leave state care.
Minister of Youth, Fayval Williams, told parliament on Tuesday, that the police are tasked with determining whether charges can be laid against anyone found to have abused or facilitated the abuse of children.
The minister said the OCA reported that attempts were made to frustrate the investigations into the matter, with girls being told to not cooperate.
Chief Executive Officer of the CPFSA, Rosalee Gage-Grey, has been asked to step aside, while further investigations are being conducted
