Commissioner of Police, Major General Antony Anderson, has reiterated that he will be seeking the declaration of a new State of Emergency (SOE), before the year ends.

Speaking in an address on Christmas day, the Commissioner noted that the police have been working hard over the past three months to reduce violent crime.

He said he will be seeking another SOE to start before year end and run until the start of next year, to complement current policing tactics.

He expressed hope that fewer crimes will be recorded next year.
