St. James Councillors blast NWA for poor management of infrastructure under its portfolio
The National Works Agency (NWA) was taken to task by several St. James Councillors on Thursday for its poor management of infrastructure under its portfolio.
Speaking at the Municipal Corporation’s monthly meeting, Councillor for Montego Bay North East, Charles Sinclair said the Agency is not fulfilling its mandate in the parish.
He said the NWA should be required to attend council meetings to provide updates on the work it is doing.
Councillor Sinclair was supported by Councillor for the Rose Hall Division, Anthony Murray who noted that several stoplights along the elegant corridor were out of service up to Thursday afternoon.
He appealed to the NWA to rectify the situation to prevent motor vehicle accidents.
