Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson said only a few of the persons detained during the last State of Emergency, SOE, have been charged.
He did not state an exact figure.
It was announced yesterday (December 6), that States of Emergency have been re-imposed in Clarendon, St. Catherine, areas of Kingston and St. Andrew, St. James, Westmoreland Hanover with St. Ann, added.
Human rights lobby group Jamaicans for Justice wants the government to say among other things how many people have been charged or gangs dismantled as a result of the SOEs.
Meantime, the commissioner notes that while some 300 violence producers are being targeted, the force are paying attention to thirty such individuals who live in the United States.
