The Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation, KSMAC met with several agencies yesterday (September 23), in preparation for tropical storm Ian.

The storm is expected to pass south of the island between tonight and tomorrow (September 25).

Mayor of Kingston, Delroy Williams said the Parish Disaster Committee meeting had representatives from the National Water Commission, National Works Agency, Fire Brigade, Jamaica Public Service, Red Cross, among others, in attendance.

He said several matters were discussed, including, shelter management and drain cleaning.

The mayor said the KSAMC is prepared for any possible adverse impact from the storm.
