Justice Ministry and churches sign restorative justice MOU
The Ministry of Justice has signed a memorandum of understanding with church groups across the country, to incorporate restorative justice in their programmes.
Justice Minister Delroy Chuck said churches play an important role in the Jamaican society, and he hopes the training programme will highlight methods of resolving disputes and conflicts in the wider community.
Noting that this collaboration has worked before, Mr. Chuck said the MOU signifies an expansion of the partnership with churches.
He was speaking at the MOU signing ceremony at the Ministry’s Kingston offices on Tuesday (September 6).
