The St. Ann Police arrested four men who they believe were about to carry out a contract killing in the parish yesterday (September 6).

Three of the men are from St. James, while the other is said to be from St. Thomas and Parry Town in St Ann.

Acting Head of the St. Ann Police Superintendent David White said about 6:30 pm yesterday, a police team intercepted a white Nissan AD wagon, with the four (4) men aboard, along the parry town main road.

He said the vehicle was searched and a 9 millimetre single action browning pistol with a magazine containing ten cartridges was found.

The men were arrested and charged for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition and are to face the court early next week.

They are 27-year-old Wayne Williams otherwise called ‘Chini’ a construction worker, 19-year-old Renaldo Bailey otherwise called Kemar, unemployed, 24-year-old Joel Fairclough otherwise called “Junior” a taxi operator, all from St. James and 28-year-old labourer Damion Heron otherwise called “Shortman” of Lyssons, St. Thomas and Parry Town, in St. Ann.

Police theorize that the men were in Parry Town to carryout a contract killing.

Investigations are ongoing.
