The Howard Cooke Primary School in St James has been plunged into mourning, following the passing of Vice Principal, Veronica Headley Jennings, this morning (August 29).

Speaking with IRIE FM news, the school’s Principal, Dave Scott, said Mrs. Headley Jennings was a brilliant educator, who has left a mark on all who interacted with her.

Mr Scott noted that Mrs Headley Jennings was scheduled to assume the role as Acting Principal come September when the new school year begins.

She was to serve for eight months, while Mr Scott went on leave for the period.

Mr. Scott said discussions will be conducted tomorrow regarding the way forward.
