$20 M disbursed to RADA to aid new farmers
Agriculture Minister Pearnel Charles Jnr has indicated, that 20 million dollars has been disbursed, to the Rural Agri–cultural Development Authority (RADA), to assist farmers.
The funds are the first tranche of governments promised support to new farmers through a special incentive programme for land preparation services, valuing 63 million dollars.
Mr Charles Jnr is encouraging farmers to contact their RADA office to access funding for use in land preparation.
He said the government remains committed to assisting farmers, and working towards achieving food security for the nation.
