15 fatal shootings by police in July – Indecom
The Independent Commission of Investigations, Indecom, has recorded 15 fatal shootings by the police, for the month of July.
The most recent incidents, include one in St James, where a man said to be of unsound mind who allegedly threw rocks at the cops was shot dead, on Friday.
Also on Friday, an alleged robber, who was among 4 bikers targeting residents along the Sir Florizel Glasspole Highway, in St Andrew, was killed, when cops respond to the robbery attempt.
Deputy Commissioner of Indecom Hamish Campbell said the 2 men killed in both incidents remain unidentified.
As it regards the St Andrew incident, Mr Campbell is appealing to witnesses, and anyone who may have information to come forward.
