Opposition spokesman on health, Dr. Morais Guy, has expressed concern, that the Health and Wellness Ministry, is just now reviewing the capacity of the country’s isolation facilities, to contain both Monkeypox and the Coronavirus.
On Wednesday, Health and Wellness Minister, Dr. Christopher Tufton announced, that Jamaica recorded its first case of Monkeypox.
He said a review is being done to assess the country’s isolation capacity, to manage both Covid-19 and Monkeypox.
Speaking with Irie Fm news, Dr. Guy said it is concerning, that all provisions are not already in place to deal with the disease.
