Tourism Minister Ed Bartlett said Caricom needs to implement a new transport policy, with a singular visa, that covers Caribbean nations.
This, he said will simplify travel within the region, and allow tourists to travel between Caricom member states, with ease.
Mr Bartlett said there needs to be a new approach to travelling in the region.
Mr Bartlett said pre-clearance arrangements need to be established in Caribbean states.
He said the policy will require cooperation on travel protocols.
He was speaking at a ceremony to mark the first international flight from Turks and Caicos to the Ian \Fleming Airport in Boscobel, St Mary on Thursday.
