Business operators in Spanish Town urged to turn out despite shoot out, yesterday
President of the St. Catherine Chamber of Commerce, Dennis Robothom, is urging the business community in Spanish Town, not to let a shoot out which occurred in the space yesterday (June 14), hamper operations.
The shoot out between alleged gang members left 2 people dead.
During a subsequent police response, a third person was fatally shot.
A 48 hour curfew has since been imposed in sections of Spanish Town.
Speaking with Irie Fm News this morning, the Chamber President said few persons are within the commercial space.
He said the police have ramped up presence in Spanish Town, to ensure safety, and business owners should not be fearful.
