Police are investigating a hit-and-run collision along the Rose Hall main road in St. James, today (June 6), which resulted in the death of a woman.

Dead is 46-year-old Angella Summerville-Palmer, of Flower Hill, St. James.

Reports from the Coral Gardens police are that at about 2:30 AM, Summerville-Palmer was along the roadway, when the driver of a Toyota Mark-X lost control of the vehicle, which spun out of control and collided with her.

She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The driver fled the scene.
