Eight hundred and forty-five (845) schools are operational following the passage of Hurricane Melissa.

Schools began reopening on  Monday, November 3.

Education Minister, Dr. Dana Morris Dixon said in Region 4, 24 of the 25 high schools are open. 

Schools in Region 4 suffered the most hurricane damage.

She said Cabinet approved funding for schools damaged by the storm.
