Approximately 75 gallons of counterfeit rum were uncovered during a police operation at an illegal distillery on Mcvickers Lane in St. Catherine yesterday.

Head of the St. Catherine North police Superintendent, Hopton Nicholson said, several bottles, seals and labels of popular liquor brands were also found and seized.

Superintendent Nicholson cautioned against this illegal practice noting the danger it poses to the public.
