70 roads identified for rehabilitation under gov’t’s SPARK Programme
Approximately 70 roads have so far been identified for renovation works under the Shared Prosperity Through Accelerated Improvement to our Road Network (SPARK) Programme.
The selected roads are to be scoped and priced by the National Works Agency.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness gave the update in Parliament yesterday.
He said the roads were selected following consultations with community members and other stakeholders.
To date, meetings have been held in 9 constituencies, across 4 parishes.
Mr. Holness said more meetings are scheduled for another 40 constituencies, in coming weeks.
The Prime Minister expressed concern that at least one consultation meeting was not up to standard.
