A $6 million reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the murder of veteran journalist Barbara Gayle.

Ms. Gayle’s body was discovered at her St. Catherine home on Tuesday.

This morning, a Mercedes Benz GLA which had been missing from her residence was recovered on Dyke Road in St. Catherine.

Investigators say they are pursuing strong leads in the case.

To support the investigation, the Press Association of Jamaica (PAJ) in collaboration with a philanthropic supporter has offered the substantial reward.

PAJ President Dashan Henricks stated that the donor has requested anonymity.

He extended sympathies to Ms. Gayle’s family and colleagues, noting her significant role in shaping the minds of young journalists.
