5 Haitian nationals remain in custody following raid at a house in Manchester yesterday
The five Haitian nationals who were arrested, following a raid at a house in Spring Ground, Christiana, Manchester yesterday remain in custody.
The group consists of 4 men and a woman who is believed to be pregnant.
Commanding Officer for the Manchester police Acting Superintendent Luhas Daniels said the group has been processed and will be charged and taken to court for entering the island illegally.
He said it will then be decided if they are to be deported to Haiti.
DSP Daniels said yesterday’s operation began at about 5am after lawmen received information of possible immigration breaches.
