3 charged for several offences, including the murder of a 15 y/o in Trelawny, last August

Three men have been charged for several offences, including the murder of 15 year old Jamelia Cole in  Cotton Tree Lane, Albert Town, Trelawny in August, last year.

Charged are 23-year-old Timoy Brown otherwise called ‘Big Red’ a farmer of Cotton Tree, District; 22-year- old Tyrese Brown otherwise called ‘Sheetsman’ of Albert Town, and 20-year-old Jabean Brock otherwise called ‘Nuko’ a labourer of Stettin District, all in Trelawny.

Reports from lawmen are that on August 6, 2023, the three men gained entrance to a house occupied by four females, via a kitchen window.

The men allegedly used a blunt object to hit three of the females to their heads, rendering them unconscious. 

Further reports are that a 9-year-old girl who was asleep; woke up and contacted her father, who instructed her to alert the neighbours who summoned the police. 

On the arrival of the lawmen, the women were found uncounsious in the house, while Jamelia was seen naked with her hands bound some meters away from the dwelling.

The injured females were taken to hospital where Jamelia was pronounced dead and the others treated and released.

In an update today, the police said the accused men were arrested following separate incidents, last week.

Reports are that Tyrese was intercepted by the police in a stolen motorcar on Monday, August 19.

Timoy and Brock were subsequently picked up in their communities. 

Following a question and answer session yesterday, they were charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, aid and abetting burglary, burglary with intent, capital murder, wounding with intent, causing grievous bodily harm to commit murder, rape and for being part of a criminal organization.

A court date is being finalised for them.
