Bob Marley: One love film was the big winner in the Best Movie category at the BET Awards.

Black Entertainment Television, BET announced the winner for the 2024 award during the live presentation show held on Sunday.

As an appreciation, the official account of the Bob Marley shared a picture depicting the film with the caption thankful to @betawards for honouring @onelovemovie and #bobmarley legacy.

It continued by writing that the accolade is of great significance while sending love to the cast, crew, director and fans for the support.

Bob Marley: One love shared the category with American Fiction, Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, The Book of Clarence, The Color Purple, The Equalizer 3 and The Little Mermaid.

The film, which was released on Valentines Day February 14, 2024, grossed $51 million in its initial opening. One Love, which follows late reggae musician Marley as he and his band, Bob Marley, and the Wailers, record their hit 1977 album Exodus and the one Love Concert the film stars Kingsley Ben Adir as Bob Marley and Lashawna Lynch as Rita Marley
