The 21 University of Technology (UTECH) students displaced by a fire at an apartment complex in St. Andrew on Monday are still trying to cope with the experience.

President of the UTECH Students’ Union, Rick Darby gave an update to IRIE FM News this morning.

He said the school’s counselling unit is still offering psychological support to the affected students who are now being housed on campus.

Mr. Darby noted that some of them are more mentally impacted by the fire than others.

He added that assessments are being done to determine which students need help with replacing school essentials such as laptops or tablets.
