Finance Minister, Fayval Williams, says she expects the Micro Market in Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) to be in full operation by the second quarter of this year.

She made the disclosure during the Jamaica Stock Exchange Regional Investments and Capital Markets Conference.

Ms. Williams said the government aims to improve the pathway to equity financing for micro enterprises by working closely with the JSE to create the architecture of a micro market.

She said the multi-stakeholder, steering committee has made significant progress in operationalising the micro-market.
