The 2026 renewal of the Ted Dwyer Classics and Pentathlon Challenge will be staged at Excelsior High School track on Saturday starting at 8:30 am. 

Coaches are reminded that there will be a maximum of 6 athletes per event per class and a maximum of 1 relay team per school or institution.

In the pentathlon challenge the girls will compete in he 200metres, shot put, long jump, javelin and the 800metres in that order, while the males will do battle in the 400metres, the shot put, long jump, pole vault and the 1500metres. 

Meanwhile, the Boys javelin will be an open event for classes 1 to 4, and the Girls Javelin and Triple jump are open events for classes 1, 2, 3 and 4. 

The 100 and the 400 meters on track will be open to all classes and for both gender.

The meet is a qualifier for the upcoming ISSA/Boys and Girls Athletics championship.
