Sombre mood in Spicy Hill, Trelawny after 2 residents killed in Queens Highway crash

A sombre mood hangs over the Spicy Hill community in Duncans, Trelawny, after 2 residents perished in a motor vehicle crash along Queens Highway in Discovery Bay, St. Ann this morning. 

Dead are 29-year-old medical professional Sashalee Williams and her boyfriend Dale Robert Williams.

The couple leaves behind a 3-year-old daughter.

Reports are that shortly after 10 A.M., Mr. Williams was driving a Rav 4 with Ms. Williams as a passenger when upon reaching a section of the road he overtook a line of traffic and collided with a Hiace motor vehicle which was travelling in the opposite direction. 

The couple and the 3 occupants from the Hiace motor vehicle where taken to hospital where Mr. and Ms. Williams died.

The others have been admitted for treatment.

Ms. Williams’ uncle Dean told IRIE FM News that the family is not coping well.

He said their 3-year-old daughter is unaware of the tragedy and is expecting them to return home.

He noted that Ms. Williams would have turned 30 next Friday December 19.
